Rafuse Home Hardware Building Centre located in Wolfville, N.S. has an immediate opening for a Contractor Sales Associate / Estimator. In this position, you would be part of an experienced Home Hardware sales / estimating team primarly focused on customer/contractor projects. The ideal candidate would have previous building supply experience with knowledge in construction, plumbing, electrical, as well as project estimating. We offer a competitive salary based on experience. Job Description Responsible for building material sales to customers and contractors. Provide excellent friendly customer service within any store department. Ability to maintain a positive customer service attitude when dealing with customers, vendors, or associates. Responsible for preparing material estimates based on blueprints and customer input. Create estimates using computer estimating software along with various vendor software. Recomend products and alternative options based on customers needs. Develop and maintain knowledge of products and suppliers. Source and order product for building projects while practicing prudent inventory control. Participate in various training courses as needed. Visit existing contractor and potential new contractor jobsites as requested. Perform site measures as needed for contractors and homeowners. Measure and order Global or Kohler windows and doors. Create purchase orders and sales slips accurately and on time. Report directly to the store manager.
