The Opportunity: We are recruiting for a MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN, The Grove - Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (Gender Based Violence) This is a contract part-time opportunity to fill an existing vacancy until March 31, hours per week between the hours of Monday to Friday 12pm to 8pm) based at 737 Woolwich St. Guelph. The Mental Health Clinician, The Grove (Gender Based Violence) plays a key clinical role in supporting The Grove''s Youth Wellness Hub Ontario and across the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW). Focusing on youth ages 1225, this position provides accessible, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented mental health and substance use services within a welcoming, youth-friendly environment. Working within the Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) framework, the Clinician delivers comprehensive assessments, therapeutic interventions, and family/caregiver support tailored to the diverse needs of children and youth accessing The Grove. With a specialized focus on gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and intervention, the Clinician provides clinical expertise in supporting youth impacted by or at risk of GBV, fostering safer relationships, promoting emotional regulation, and enhancing wellbeing. Reporting to Team Lead, The Grove, with clinical supervision from the Manager, Children''s Services, the Clinician practices from an anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and gender-affirming lens, ensuring all youth feel seen, heard, and supported. In collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, community partners, and caregivers, the Clinician contributes to integrated care pathways, strengthens community connections, and supports high-quality clinical programming across The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs. Qualifications: Master''s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related health or social science field. Current registration and good standing with the appropriate Ontario regulatory college (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO, CPO). Minimum three (3) years'' experience providing clinical services to children, youth, and/or emerging adults with mental health, substance use, and concurrent challenges. Completed training or certifications in gender-based violence, trauma-informed practice, and gender/social justice, along with experience or training in evidence-informed youth treatment modalities such as DBT (individual and/or group), attachment-based approaches, and other relevant interventions. Comprehensive knowledge of mental health, addictions, concurrent disorders, and the impacts of trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and gender-based violence. Previous experience in assessment, intervention, safety planning, and clinical documentation. Demonstrated ability to support diverse youth populations, including 2SLGBTQIA+, racialized, Indigenous, and other marginalized communities in previous professional experiences. Strong understanding of local mental health, addiction, GBV, and community support systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and electronic health documentation systems, with familiarity with measurement-based care tools, such as My Wellness Passport, is considered an asset. Valid G Class driver''s license, access to a reliable personal vehicle, and appropriate insurance (travel to on-site meetings, events, and client related visits are required).
