Overview We are seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to join Pre Pak Meats. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in packaging, sanitation, and food safety while contributing to the production of high-quality retail meat cuts. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient operations and compliance with safety standards. Duties Package meat products accurately and efficiently according to specifications Operate equipment such as roll stock, tenderizers, automated slicers, and forming machines Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols Conduct basic quality checks and document production data using simple math skills Follow safety procedures and assist in maintaining a safe working environment at all times Help with inventory management Skills Experience or familiarity with packaging processes in a manufacturing or food industry setting preferred Basic knowledge of retail meat cuts is beneficial Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food processing environments Basic mechanical knowledge Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety compliance Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation Understanding of manufacturing processes within the food industry is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$22.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 44 per week Benefits: Dental care Discounted or free food Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Store discount Vision care Application question(s): Do you have Food Production experience?
