Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will manage transportation schedules, coordinate freight shipments, This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Dispatcher plays a vital part in maintaining smooth operations within our transportation and logistics network, supporting both internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SyteLine software to optimize delivery routes and timing. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, suppliers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette. Monitor freight movements and provide real-time updates to stakeholders, addressing any delays or issues promptly. Analyze shipping data to identify trends or inefficiencies and recommend improvements for supply chain processes. Oversee logistics related to third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure compliance with schedules and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation for shipping & receiving purposes. Support the overall supply chain operations by assisting with data entry, analysis, and reporting as needed. Requirements Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and freight logistics. Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently. Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and analysis of logistical data for process improvement. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and scheduling tasks. Knowledge of 3PL operations is a plus. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex information quickly.
