This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA). In accordance with theTrust/Research Academic Staff Agreement, this position has a comprehensivebenefits package and an annual salary range of $80,772to$111,086. This position has an end date of June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus, Edmonton. The Canadian VIGOUR Centre (CVC) is a leading academic research organization, located at the University of Alberta, committed to the enhancement of cardiovascular health. Our centre provides leadership in clinical trials of cardiovascular therapies, as well as developing selected registries and informing clinical practice through insights gained from population health data. The Centre''s vision is to ''generate, translate and disseminate knowledge on novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in cardiovascular medicine acquired through collaborative research to enhance the health of citizens of Alberta, Canada, and the world.'' CVC is seeking a Senior Biostatistician who will be a leading member of their population-health research team, making a significant contribution to the high-quality research that the CVC is known for. This position is responsible for study design, advanced statistical analysis, quality control and assurance, appropriate reporting of results, and managing large administrative, clinical trial, and registry databases. Other members of the research team include the CVC Directors, CVC Faculty and external (e.g., local, national, and international) collaborators.
