Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing drinks, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and customer engagement within a dynamic setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks following standardized recipes. Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained during food preparation and service. Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours. Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met. Collaborate with team members to deliver a positive customer experience. Qualifications Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
