Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering young children''s development and learning through engaging activities and nurturing support. This role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood education principles. Bilingual skills, especially in English and French, along with experience working with children with disabilities, are highly valued. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children''s progress Incorporate bilingual instruction in English and French to promote language development Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention Maintain accurate records of children''s progress and daily activities Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes Manage classroom organization efficiently to ensure safety and smooth daily operations Lead classroom activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and learning engagement Collaborate with team members to plan events, assessments, and curriculum enhancements Requirements Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff Organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation effectively Leadership qualities to guide young learners confidently Good computer operation skills for record keeping and lesson planning purposes Ability to demonstrate time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently Prior classroom experience is essential; certification or degree in early childhood education is preferred Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment This position provides an enriching opportunity to contribute positively to early childhood development while working in a dynamic educational setting committed to inclusion and excellence.
