Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Attendant to join our team in a LTC environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing patients with the companionship and emotional support they require, and supervise patients who are at risk of harming themselves or others. Responsibilities Supervising patients in your care without distraction. Alerting nurses when patients need help or intervention. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients. Assist patients with basic requests. Actively assist patient in engaging with activities like puzzles. Refrain from performing medical procedures or any unauthorized actions. Adhere to Resident''s care-plan and institutional policies and standards. Keeping patient information confidential. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Exceptional listening and communication skills. Strong observation ability. Ability to handle emotionally distressing situations. Professional appearance and excellent hygiene. Ability to act calmly and swiftly under pressure. Previous experience as a Patient Sitter or similar role is preferred. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
