Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service and professional conduct. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of items. Verify delivery orders for accuracy and completeness before departure. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation. Communicate with dispatch or customers regarding delivery status or delays. Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including inventory management and freight handling. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if issues arise with the vehicle. Qualifications Valid driver''s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not required. Experience in freight delivery, commercial driving, or related fields is advantageous. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for handling minor vehicle issues. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for verifying deliveries and managing freight documentation. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers. Physical ability to lift heavy items, operate machinery, and perform manual tasks associated with freight handling. Prior experience operating heavy equipment or machinery is desirable but not mandatory.
