Position: Mechanical Designer Who We Are: At TNK Inc., we specialize in designing and manufacturing custom parts for a wide range of clients. We''ve been involved in various exciting projects, from designing parts for electric vehicles to creating custom aluminum molds. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team to work on 3D modelling new parts. Job Summary: The candidate will be responsible for working with our in-house machinists and with clients to carefully design custom parts using Fusion 360 or SolidWorks. They must have good communication and organizational skills to succeed in this role. Responsibilities: Create and modify 3D models using Fusion 360 or SolidWorks Meet with clients to understand project requirements Assist in the design and prototyping of mechanical components and assemblies Communicate project updates and next steps with other team members Order required materials for projects Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications Skills/Qualifications Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent 1+ years of CAD experience - applicable co-op experience included Experience with either SolidWorks or Fusion 360 Ability to work with a team Willingness to learn Strong problem solving skills Knowledge of Fusion 360 CAM is an asset Experience in a metal shop or CNC machining is an asset Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, (40 hours/week) Location: Dunnville, ON Able to relocate or commute before starting work This is an on-site position Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $23.00 per hour Benefits: Casual dress Company events On-site parking Store discount Ability to commute/relocate: Haldimand County, ON N1A 2E7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
