Retail/Caf Manager Fast paced coffee business looking for a reliable, enthusiastic team player to manage our Cafe and Retail store. Qualifications: Post secondary education in food service or hospitality field preferred. 3 years retail management experience required. Safe food handling and Smart Serve certification Proficient on a computer; familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, POS systems, Quickbooks. Barista training and/or coffee knowledge preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and special events as needed. Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Must have effective problem solving/decision making abilities. Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team environment with other managers Duties: Hire, train, and guide cafe employees in delivering excellent customer service. Assign tasks and responsibilities to employees for operational effectiveness. Develop action plans for the team to meet operational and organizational objectives. Efficiently schedule employees to maintain high standard of customer service while adhering to staffing budget. Ensure that the caf is maintained according to sanitation and cleaning standards. Obtain customer feedback and make appropriate business decisions to meet customer needs. Monitor and manage cafe staff by regularly conducting meetings, performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve operational performance. Identify and address issues in cafe performance. Develop strategic and operational plans for managing cafe Communicate clearly with all employees to ensure effective cafe operations. Maintain cafe environment clean, safe and inviting for customers. Plan and develop caf specialty drink menu Order and merchandise supplies to meet the needs of clientele and promote purchases Participate in marketing initiatives and promote company through social media Plan and organize special events Coordinate specialized customer orders Cover for other managers in their absence Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $52,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
