One(1) full time 12 month Contract position available for In-Home Support Worker (Family Support). The major components of the position are: Family Support Workers work with families in their homes and communities to offer information, guidance, and hands-on support to help parents meet the emotional, physical, and developmental needs of their children. These workers also play a key role in providing direct care to children and youth in exceptional circumstances and supervising access visits to support safe and meaningful family connections. This position requires some evening and occasional weekend work to meet the evolving needs of children, youth, and families and the service requirements of the agency. Duties will include but are not limited to: Provide direct care and support to children and youth in exceptional or emergency situations, including during times of placement transition or crisis. Supervise access visits between children and their families, ensuring safety while supporting the development and strengthening of family relationships. Offer practical assistance and parenting guidance in the family''s home or in the community to address child welfare concerns. Support family functioning and help to mitigate the risk of children coming into care. Assist families during reunification processes or transitions to alternative placements. Work collaboratively with child protection workers, caregivers, community supports, and extended family networks to ensure wraparound support for families. Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding service plans and observations. Other duties as assigned Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required: Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Child and Youth Care, Social Service Work, or a related discipline; Two years of direct service experience (e.g., child welfare, community programs serving children, youth, and families); Knowledge of child development, parenting strategies, child safety, and family dynamics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and engage with diverse families; Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; Flexibility to work outside regular hours based on client needs; Circle of Security training is an asset; Valid Ontario driver''s license and access to a reliable vehicle; Interested and qualified applicants are invited to apply in writing to Human Resources no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
