We are looking for a fun, hard-working casual Packaging Operator to join our team The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the packaging of canned beer and variety packs according to production needs. Key Responsibilities The Packaging Operator is accountable for executing packaging days in accordance with the production schedule. This includes: Operating Cask ACS V5 canning line, can handle applicator, date coders, over wrapper, and other packaging equipment. Startup and shutdown CIP procedures of packaging equipment Preparation of bright beer for packaging including carbonation and DO checks Completing manual packaging operations, such as variety package assembly Preparation of packaging materials for future operations: building trays, printing dates. Adhering to routine preventative maintenance schedule Troubleshooting of packaging equipment Providing direction and leadership to casual packaging staff Detailed record-keeping Pre-package and in-process product quality specifications and checks. Ex: seam checks, DO, clarity, and flavour. Ownership of packaged beer quality Participation in QA tastings when time permits. General sanitation of production area and cooler Ensure packaging supplies are on hand for scheduled production runs. Training new Packaging Technicians and Operators, as needed. Counting, entering, and reconciling monthly inventory for packaging materials. Assisting in other areas of Operations department, including the Delivery team, as needed.
