Position: Registered Early Childhood Educator RECE. Location: Garderie Beaux Sourires, at 901 The Rapids Pkwy, Sarnia, ON Job type: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 to 40 hours per week Salary: $25-28/hour Starting date: ASAP Qualifications required: Must be fluent in French both spoken and written. College diploma in Early Childhood Education (RECE). Member of the Order of Educators of Ontario in Good standing. Experience in a childcare center. Criminal record, vulnerable sector up to date. First aid course adapted to early childhood. Skills sought: Adopt behavior that inspires the confidence of children and parents. Act based on the policies and procedures of Garderie Beaux Sourires. Have team spirit and able to work without supervision. Ensure a welcoming environment for children and parents. Promote the overall development of each child. Know how to integrate children with special needs. Ensure good management of classroom resources based on the Ontario Pedagogy for the Early Years Tasks and main responsibilities: Prepare and implement early childhood education programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of each child. Direct children''s activities by telling them stories, giving them the opportunity to express their creativity through art, through role playing, music, physical activity and through educational corners according to the interest of each child. Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety and well-being of children. Assess the children''s abilities, skills, interests and needs, and discuss their progress or difficulties with the supervisor and their parents. Guide and help children so that they adopt good eating and hygiene habits. Establish relationships with center colleagues and the entire Centre''s team. Supervise the volunteers and students placed in the class in his charge. Participate in staff meetings and training organized by the center supervisor or the general director of London French Day Care. Accomplish any task that may be requested by the center supervisor or the general director.
