Location: Hybrid / Remote Type: Contract / Full-Time We are looking for a highly skilled AS400 Specialist with deep expertise across the IBM i ecosystem who can operate independently, mentor developers, and lead complex initiatives. This role supports major upcoming projects for our Global Bulk and Global Banknote applications planned for 2026. Key Responsibilities Lead application design and development across AS400 environments Work independently with minimal guidance while providing SME oversight Assign tasks and review deliverables from development teams Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using ILE RPG, SQLRPGI, CLP, ILE-CL, and DB2 Perform unit testing and ensure high-quality, reliable code Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage effectively with stakeholders Required Technical Expertise Advanced, hands-on experience in AS400 / IBM i development Strong command of ILE RPG , RPG III , SQLRPGI , Modules, Service Programs, and Binding Directories Proficient in CLP and ILE-CL Deep understanding of DB2 for i , including both external described PF/LF and legacy internally described files Experience with Programming Development Manager , Query, and other AS400 utilities Soft Skills Strong communication and documentation skills Excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to guide development teams
