Job Description

Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 to less than 7 months or equivalent experience Tasks Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings Prepare and install hardwood floors Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations Prepare floors for installations Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces Install vinyl decking materials Installation specialization Vinyl or resilient tiles Vinyl or resilient sheets Ceramic tiles Flash covings Hardwood intricate patterns flooring Modular carpet tiles Asphalt plank flooring Carpets/rugs Security and safety Criminal record check Driver''s validity licence check Transportation/travel information Willing to travel Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Handling heavy loads Bending, crouching, kneeling Ability to distinguish between colours Hand-eye co-ordination Personal suitability Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Organized Team player Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
