Overview: We are seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to join the team as a Custom''s Processing Clerk out of terminal in Brampton. Schedule: (A) Sunday to Thursday- Night Shift : (Sunday Mon -Thurs (B) Monday to Friday - Afternoon Shift: (C) Monday to Friday - Day Shift: 0800:16:30 Position Responsibilities: Develop and maintain professional customer relations by identifying and meeting customer needs. Keeps Manager informed of any problems, schedule changes, vacations. Finding, fixing and preventing problems/delays in cross border freight movement. Ensure policies, procedures are followed. Ensure that imaging, sending paperwork to brokers and stack manifest are done in a timely fashion to keep the freight moving to the customer as per posted transit times. Ensure that inland bonds are handled quickly to keep delays to a minimum Completes other tasks and projects as assigned. Position Qualifications: Knowledge of cross border operations in dealing with Customs, Brokers, Shipper/Consignees. At least 1 year experience with PARS processing. Flexible to work different shifts Good computer skills Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills Ability to manage stress. Ability to work with fluctuating volumes Ability to rapidly learn and perform tasks related to the department, new regulations or process/procedure changes. Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively Ability to work with and manage people. Ability to work with and maintain an effective working relationship with our U.S. partners.
