Overview We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for decorating cakes, with a strong understanding of food safety. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning cakes that meet our customers'' specifications while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities Design and decorate cakes for various occasions, including birthdays, weddings, and special events. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food handling regulations. Ensuring orders are completed in time for pickup or delivery. Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and placing orders as needed. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients during the ordering process and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Stay updated on current trends in cake decorating techniques and styles. Experience Previous experience in cake decorating or a related role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with various tools, and equipment used in cake decoration. Experience working with fondant and buttercream. Experience crumb coating and masking cakes with buttercream. Experience covering cakes with fondant. Ability to do pipping using various nozzle tips.
