We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineering Intern to start in the Fall 2025 term (September) for a duration of 4 to 16 months , depending on candidate availability and performance. This hands-on internship supports our product development, safety testing, and regulatory compliance efforts. You''ll gain valuable exposure to real-world power systems, PCB design, manufacturing, prototyping, embedded hardware, and functional safety. Working closely with experienced engineers across disciplines, you''ll contribute directly to key development and certification milestones. Learn more about our vision and Class 2 (low-voltage) and Class 4 (Fault Managed Power) system and our vision here: Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, layout, and prototyping of PCBAs for power systems and embedded controllers Perform circuit simulations and engineering calculations to validate hardware designs Build and test electronic circuits, including soldering, rework, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters Support bring-up and validation of hardware systems, including power modules, sensing circuits, and communication interfaces Document test procedures, validation results, and design iterations Support office organization tasks, including ordering and receiving PCBs and electronic components Assist in the creation of technical documentation and the development of internal software and hardware libraries Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and mechanical engineers on cross-functional design activities Participate in product safety reviews and assist with compliance testing for UL, IEC, and other regulatory standards Qualifications Education & Experience Currently enrolled in a Bachelor''s, Master''s, or Ph.D program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline Strong understanding of circuit theory, electronics, and hardware fundamentals Comfortable using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers Basic experience with soldering, prototyping, or hardware debugging (academic or personal projects count) Familiarity with PCB design tools is an asset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Enthusiasm for learning, problem-solving, and working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment What Sets You Apart Startup mindset with a proactive, builder mentality.
