Our busy team is looking for a skilled Journeyman/woman Automotive Technician to join our growing team Key Responsibilities: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Repair or replace mechanical units or components. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer''s specifications. Quality control road tests and after repair checks to ensure quality and safety. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs. Communicate and consult with employees from all levels of organization. Perform scheduled maintenance service. Test and adjust units to specifications. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Maintain accurate records of all service, repair and work performed. Coach and instruct apprentices. Positive attitude towards exceptional customer service Follow and Comply with all health, safety, environmental and HR procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Area of specialization: Engine and Powertrain: Repair, overhaul, and diagnostics of engines, 4-wheel drive systems, transmissions (automatic and standard), drive train components, and fuel and emission systems. Electrical and Diagnostics: Electrical, electronic, and ignition systems troubleshooting and repair. Suspension and Braking: Alignment, steering, suspension, and hydraulic brake systems maintenance. Specialized Systems: HVAC, imported vehicles, front-end components, and truck-trailer repair. Job Requirements and Qualifications: Work Environment & Physical Demands: Fast-paced setting requiring manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Must provide own tools. Essential Qualities: Accuracy, client focus, dependability, flexibility, sound judgment, reliability, strong communication, and teamwork skills. Security, Safety, and Transportation Requirements: Bondable, with criminal and driving record checks required. Must have a valid driver''s license, own vehicle, and ability to drive a manual transmission. Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience. Certifications & Licenses: Journeyperson Technician Certification (25 years of related experience preferred). Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Specialty Mechanic Certifications - Considered an Asset Additional: CVIP Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate and a valid driver''s license.
