Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to play a key role in supporting the Finance Administrator and Director of Finance with day-to-day business operations. This position is responsible for processing timely and accurate financial information and maintaining financial systems in accordance with company policies to support effective reporting to key organizational stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable, including PO matching, entry of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements, and payment processing by cheque and EFT Review vendor statements and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner Manage the collection of cash from departments, including invoice payments and petty cash Process weekly bank deposits Reconcile and audit monthly departmental spending, including bank accounts, petty cash, and gift cards Assist with gathering documentation for the annual audit Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with all stakeholders Perform additional analysis and other duties as required Qualifications Post-secondary education in finance or accounting is preferred Previous experience in finance or accounting role Working knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Willingness and ability to learn new tasks, software programs, and take on new challenges Benefits Comprehensive on the job training Continuous training for skill development Cell phone allowance Perks programs Goodlife Corporate memberships Flexibility Great work culture Referral Program Health and Dental benefits Pension Plan Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Closing Date: Until Filled Salary: DOQ Work Location: Winnipeg, MB Interested?
