Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cook. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the food industry, with a focus on providing exceptional service and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cooking, and customer service within a dynamic restaurant environment. Candidates should be eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests and work collaboratively with team members. Hours and Perks Monday to Friday (No stat holidays): 8 AM to 2 PM. May start earlier if there are events Weekends as needed for events Free parking on-site Duties Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Support the serving staff by delivering orders promptly and accurately Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Other duties as assigned Skills 2+ years previous experience as a Cook Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Strong attention to detail to ensure quality presentation and consistency of dishes Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and servers Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service hours Expectations Excellent hygiene: clean and neat presentation and hygiene conscious Reliable, dependable, honest, and hardworking Must be able to work as a team player Food safe certificate This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry who want to grow their skills in a supportive environment.
