Program Supervisor Respite, Child and Youth, and Adult Programs Reports to: Operations Manager Location: Edmonton, AB Type: Full-time Company Overview Gateway Holistic Care Group provides comprehensive, client-centered care for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and complex needs. Our programs include: Respite Program Short-term care solutions for children and adults with disabilities, focusing on personal care, skill-building, and community integration. Child and Youth Program Developmental support for children and youth, including educational support, behavior management, and social engagement. Adult Supported Living Program Long-term care for adults with disabilities, promoting independent living, life skills, and structured routines. The Program Supervisor is responsible for client care, staff supervision, and service quality across these programs. This is a client-facing role that works closely with the Office Supervisor to ensure administrative support aligns with program operations and compliance requirements. The Program Supervisor also collaborates with the Family and Practice Supervisor (FPS) to ensure smooth communication between clients, families, and external agencies. Job Summary The Program Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to Team Leads and frontline staff, ensuring high-quality care and seamless program operations. This role involves supervising multiple programs, coordinating client care, monitoring compliance, and developing staff to maintain excellence in service delivery. The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager, collaboration with the Office Supervisor, and works with Team Leads, frontline staff, and external partners to ensure client well-being, behavioral support, and program effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Program Management and Oversight Oversee daily operations of the Respite, Child & Youth, and Adult Supported Living Programs. Ensure programs run efficiently, providing high-quality client care and structured routines. Support Team Leads in executing individualized service plans (ISPs) for clients. Monitor program capacity, resource allocation, and occupancy levels. Work with the Operations Manager to identify areas for program development and growth. Client and Family Support (Client-Facing Role) Provide direct support to clients, ensuring daily care needs, safety, and engagement. Monitor client progress, behavioral needs, and care plans, making adjustments as required. Collaborate with the Family and Practice Supervisor to align client goals with family expectations. Ensure smooth communication between staff, clients, and external professionals. Work with FSCD and PDD caseworkers to ensure compliance with funding agreements and client needs. Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed. May be required to attend external meetings with funding bodies, social workers, and community partners to advocate for client needs. Collaboration with the Office Supervisor and Family and Practice Supervisor Work closely with the Office Supervisor to ensure program documentation, scheduling, and compliance tracking are efficiently managed. Ensure program staff have access to HR systems, scheduling tools, and digital records managed by the Office Supervisor. Delegate administrative tasks (e.g., accreditation records, compliance reporting) to the Office Supervisor as needed. Collaborate with the Family and Practice Supervisor to align service plans with family expectations and funding requirements. Staff Supervision and Leadership Directly supervise Team Leads across all programs, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management. Oversee staffing levels, schedules, and staffing coverage for 24/7 operations. Ensure new staff training, ongoing professional development, and compliance with mandatory training. Conduct team meetings, staff check-ins, and performance evaluations. Support Team Leads in addressing staff concerns, scheduling issues, and conflict resolution. Compliance and Accreditation Ensure all programs meet CARF accreditation and provincial disability service regulations. Support Team Leads in following proper documentation procedures, incident reporting, and risk management protocols. Conduct internal audits and quality assurance reviews. Stay updated on industry best practices and provincial regulations. Crisis Management and On-Call Support Serve as the primary on-call contact for escalations and crisis situations. Implement de-escalation techniques and emergency response protocols. Ensure all incident reports, behavioral concerns, and crisis interventions are properly documented and reviewed. Budgeting and Resource Management Monitor program budgets to ensure cost-effective operations. Approve staffing expenses, client activity costs, and program resources within budget guidelines. Identify funding opportunities and program enhancements to improve services. Qualifications and Skills Education: Diploma or degree in social work, disability studies, psychology, or a related field (required). Experience: Minimum 3 years in program supervision, disability services, or a leadership role in client care. Certifications: First Aid/CPR (required or willing to obtain). Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (preferred). Valid Class 5 driver''s license and ability to transport clients (preferred). Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Ability to oversee multiple programs and teams while ensuring compliance. Experience with CARF accreditation, FSCD, and PDD funding requirements. Calm under pressure, with strong crisis intervention and problem-solving skills. Schedule and Compensation Work Schedule: Full-time with flexible hours, including on-call responsibilities.
