Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the kitchen, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to perfection and served promptly. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Help maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly. Skills Strong knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety regulations. Experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant settings. Proficient in food preparation methods and techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Familiarity with meal preparation processes and kitchen equipment operation. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
