Job Summary Seeking an experienced caregiver for Saturday and Sunday mornings with at least 3 years of caregiving experience related to high needs seniors (Parkinson''s and dementia) and relevant diploma/training to care for our parents in their home. Hours: Saturday and Sunday 7 am to 11 am. Hours may increase if candidate is suitable. Location is Vancouver (postal code V6L). Responsibilities Need a male Cantonese speaking caregiver for dad who has early dementia. Cantonese is required because my dad does not speak English very well. Male caregiver to assist dad with bathing. Chat with dad as a friend or companion. Also administer meds, some housekeeping duties, prepare breakfast, etc. Mom is non-communicative and immobile. Need to spoon feed simple breakfast in bed. Experience and Skills First Aid and CPR. Criminal check required. Canadian citizen/PR or work visa applicants. We will NOT sponsor work visas or hire foreign workers who have no work status in Canada. Ideal candidates will possess experience in caregiving or related fields. Preferred qualifications include: Previous experience as caregiver in assisted living, nursing homes, or in-home care Experience with elderly Experience with those who have Parkinson''s and dementia Compassionate, patient and punctual Salary: $28/hr.
