In 2019, Pliteq was recognized as one of Canada''s Best Managed Companies and has been named one of Canada''s Fastest Growing Companies in 2018, 2019 , 2020 & 2022 WE''RE HIRING Continental Night Shift: 8:00pm 8:00am Starting Salary: $20.50 base pay ($1.50 night shift premium) Work 7 (12 hour) days every 2 weeks Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday Straight night shift, no rotation Unionized environment BENEFITS Cultivating people centric environment Professional growth opportunities Company paid comprehensive group benefits plan; including medical, dental, vision and life insurance Paid breaks Company sponsored social events RESPONSIBILITIES Work as a team to achieve production, quality and safety goals Operate production equipment including; mixers, production presses, cylinder presses, peeling machines, rewinding machines, convoluters, laminators, die cut, regrind and screening line Read and follow all work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the products being run Wrap, strap and correctly label all materials used and produced Complete required documentation (e.g., production reports, pre-shift inspections, etc.) Report production activities & place products into designated inventory bins in the ERP system Review products for quality and conformance standards and report issues to the supervisor Complete hand-off to the subsequent shift, with a focus on production concerns and crucial work instructions Operate forklift safely, if assigned and upon successful completion of training Operate overhead bridge crane safely, if assigned and upon successful completion of training Any other tasks as required QUALIFICATIONS At least one year of manufacturing experience or equivalent Lift up to 25 kgs on a repetitive basis Stand for 12-hour shifts Clear criminal record check required While we appreciate your interest in this career opportunity at Pliteq, only selected candidates will be contacted.
