Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in managing daily store activities, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to the store''s overall success. Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company policies. Support in recruiting, training, and developing staff to foster a high-performing team. Oversee merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and presentation. Manage POS systems, pricing strategies, and inventory purchasing to maximize profitability. Handle payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping duties accurately. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high satisfaction levels. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales. Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions to promote team development. Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to support store profitability. Maintain organized records of store activities including inventory levels, sales data, and administrative documentation. Skills Proven leadership with supervising experience in retail or related fields. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively. Proficiency in retail management tools such as POS systems and merchandising software. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in pricing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform math calculations efficiently. Customer service-oriented with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills. Experience in recruiting, training & development, marketing, and sales management. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Strong negotiation skills for purchasing negotiations and vendor relations. Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
