Company Overview Western Belting is a full service conveyor belt manufacturer and distribution company. Supplying both light and heavy weight belting in a wide variety of industries. Our Stoney Creek Ontario branch is growing and looking to add a Journeyman Conveyor Belt Technician - ''Splicer'' Responsibilities Install & Vulcanize conveyor belting at customer sites. Arrive on time and ready to work Maintain & organize work tools and equipment Keep work area clean Interact with customers and represent the company in a professional manner. Communicate any job site concerns with the appropriate site contact and/or office Complete all required jobsite work reports Be available for emergency breakdowns on-call service 24/7 when required Requirements 4+ years of experience installing and splicing conveyor belts experience with fabric plied & steel cable belt splicing Ontario Surface Miner training (or equivalent from other provinces) Weekend & nights availability (current staff rotation requires work alternating week-ends) Valid drivers license What we offer Competitive Compensation Overtime pay after 8hr shift Overtime pay on weekends and holiday Shift premium for overnight work Meal per diems for extended hours and overnights company work boots allowance Health & Dental Benefits RRSP matching Flexible hours (with approval, when no job scheduled).
