Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist to provide services to patients across various settings. The position requires completion of an educational program as an OTA and a strong understanding of neurodivergence and pediatrics being highly desirable. Duties Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient''s needs. Provide direct therapy services to patients, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions. Monitor and document patient progress, noting improvements or barriers, and communicate updates to the supervising OT. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities, home exercises, and adaptive techniques to promote ongoing care. Maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations and clinic policies. Support the interdisciplinary healthcare team by participating in patient care planning and team meetings. Skills Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles. Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to adapt therapy techniques based on individual patient needs and progress. Compassionate approach with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
