Overview Alykhan Velji Designs is growing and we''re looking for a talented_ Intermediate Interior Designer_ to join our dynamic, collaborative Interior Design studio. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is eager to grow, take ownership of projects, and wants to evolve into a more senior design position with AVD over time. About the Role: As an Intermediate Designer, you will be working closely with our Senior Design team across multiple projects at various stages -- From concept development through construction documentation and implementation. You''ll be expected to balance creativity with technical precision while managing timeline commitments. This role comes with opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership as you grow within the firm. What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for aesthetics, excellent technical skills, and the ability to translate client visions into functional and compelling interior spaces. The role involves working on diverse projects that require innovative design solutions, technical proficiency in digital tools, and a passion for visual arts and architecture. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both residential and commercial interior design projects, utilizing a broad skill set that includes graphic design, 3D modeling, and visual arts. 2-3 years of professional experience in the Interior Design field Strong AutoCAD proficiency (required) SketchUp and Enscape experience (required) Photoshop proficiency is an asset Ability to work independently and efficiently to manage 4-5 projects at a time, in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented Comfortable working in a collaborative in-office studio environment Strong communication skills, and a proactive, positive team attitude Valid driver''s license and_ has own personal vehicle _(required) Submission of a digital portfolio showing successful projects outcomes Responsibilities Include; Producing detailed AutoCAD drawings and documentation Design concept development, space planning and ability to present concepts to clients/team members Choosing appropriate Finishes, Materials, Furniture and Lighting selections that align with project goals Preparing and facilitating client presentations to communicate your ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with clients and other team members Strong ability to coordinatewith vendors, trades and business partners Site visitsfor client/trade meetings, and preparing project sites for client-ready move-in dates Why work with us?
