About the Role Serruya Private Equity is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior IT Support Specialist to support our growing portfolio of brands. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across corporate offices and retail locations. You will take ownership of POS support, workstation troubleshooting, system administration, and research for new technology initiatives. This position requires strong technical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support users with varying levels of technical comfort. An on-call rotation during non-office hours is required. Key Responsibilities 1. POS Systems Support Menu Management: Build and maintain menu items, modifiers, pricing updates, and seasonal changes. Gift Card Administration: Create, manage, and troubleshoot gift cards across multiple brands. Reporting: Produce sales, quantity, and operational reports for multi-location businesses. Promotions & Discounts: Configure manual discounts, automated promotions, and special offers. Store-Level Support: Provide timely troubleshooting and guidance to operators for menu and POS-related issues. 2. General IT Administration Workstation & Printer Support: Perform hardware/software diagnostics, reset network adapters, map drives, reinstall drivers, and set up new employees. Device Management: Oversee Intune-managed devices, apply policies, and update configurations. VPN & Remote Access: Support secure connectivity for remote teams and retail operations. User Support: Assist non-technical users with daily tasks, provide training, and attend cross-functional technical meetings. System Maintenance: Execute Windows updates, security patches, and software upgrades (especially Microsoft 365 applications). 3. Research & Development Web Development Support: Assist with planning new websites, researching plugins, validating security requirements, and comparing feature sets. Technology Research: Conduct comparative analysis for future IT initiatives, tools, and systems to support business growth. Qualifications Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware troubleshooting. Experience supporting POS systems (QSR/retail environment preferred). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly. Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Shopify administration. Comfort supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments. Basic understanding of web development, CMS platforms, and plugin security. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-brand organization. Additional Requirements Must be able to commute or relocate to Markham, ON. Ability to travel to retail locations across Ontario as required.
