Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain comprehensive retail management experience in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will assist in supervising staff, managing daily activities, and implementing strategies to meet business goals. Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales performance. Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members. Manage payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately. Supervise staff schedules, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations. Oversee POS transactions, pricing strategies, and store merchandising to optimize sales. Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage vendor relationships for inventory replenishment. Implement marketing strategies to promote store products and increase foot traffic. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently to enhance customer satisfaction. Support budgeting processes and contribute to sales management planning. Skills Strong leadership abilities with proven supervising experience in retail or similar environments. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational skills. Proficiency in negotiation, marketing, and sales management techniques. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for effective customer engagement. Experience with recruiting, training & development, and team management. Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising, pricing strategies, and store management software. Competence in payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Customer service-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in cash handling and math-related tasks.
