SYSTEMS ANALYST St. Basil Catholic Education Centre This position is open to all internal and external candidates. We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hour per week Systems Analyst at St. Basil Catholic Education Centre in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence at a mutually agreed upon date. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining the security, performance, continuity, and supporting the school division''s IT systems and networks. With a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, the Systems Analyst is accountable for providing stable, secure, and scalable IT server and systems infrastructure in which users will access digital resources through multiple hardware devices. As part of a team, the Systems Analyst contributes a wide knowledge base to troubleshoot all layers of technical support including helpdesk. The Systems Analyst delivers results in improving technology efficiencies, benefiting the work of end users. This is an out of scope position. QUALIFICATIONS: College Diploma or University Degree in computer science or equivalent field experience from a recognized institution (minimum 5 years); In depth knowledge and understanding, with field experience, of industry standard computing infrastructure technologies including standards, processes, operating systems, networks, cloud solutions, database, security systems, standards, and general end user technologies; A selection of the following: Microsoft MCSE (Server, Hyper-V, Azure, and SharePoint), CompTIA Network+, Security+(V7) or Cisco CCNA, other CyberSecurity, or equivalent formal IT experience or certification. REQUIREMENTS: Occasional lifting or carrying of heavy objects; Class 5 driver''s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation; Operating light equipment. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Good communication skills; Conflict resolution and effective problem solving; Demonstrated ability to promote and maintain highly effective working relationships with team, staff and various stakeholders; Accountability and integrity; Ability to make significant decisions and deliver project goals with a high degree of independence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of the Director of Technology, collaborate with a cohort team of technology staff through various project implementations to optimize technology service delivery throughout various locations; Play lead role in effective integration and operation of various back end infrastructure technologies and fleet services including software, hardware and other education service providers; Design, implement, and maintain access to stable, secure and scalable local and cloud data services including all levels of troubleshooting support as required; Responsible for monitoring and maintaining security posture, integrity, backup and continuity of digital communication systems including file, print and other various technologies across multiple layers and locations; Support and communicate with fellow team members, division stakeholders, and end users to troubleshoot and offer effective solutions to technology issues; Other duties as required.
