With a strong reputation for professionalism, security, and exceptional service, we are seeking an Operations Manager to lead and strengthen our operations team in Scarborough, Ontario. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of our day-to-day operations while supporting our growth and maintaining the high service standards our clients expect. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee daily trucking and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and smooth execution of services across Canada and the USA. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate dispatchers, drivers and administrative personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer-first service. Fleet Performance: Manage fleet performance, including compliance with safety regulations, preventive maintenance, and utilization of company assets. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that coordinate and optimize fleet utilization, routing, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Customer Service Excellence: Act as a senior point of contact for major clients, as required, ensuring service expectations are met or exceeded, and promptly addressing escalations. Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support client needs and resolve service issues. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry certifications. Health & Safety: Promote compliance with internal policies and government regulations to ensure the wellbeing of all employees. Cross-Border Operations: Coordinate and manage cross-border logistics, customs requirements, and CTPAT compliance for secure international shipments. Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. trucking regulations, customs, and cross-border logistics. Proven ability to manage a diverse workforce and foster positive employee relations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and senior leadership. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and MS Office applications.
