Located in Milton, Transport Trailer Sales is a family-run business specializing in the sales, rental, and service of all types of trailers. Established in 1994, we''ve proudly supported the transportation industry for over 30 years. We''re looking for a hardworking and motivated Trailer Shop Helper to support our service team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn, and is interested in building a future in the trade. For the right candidate, this position may transition into a registered apprenticeship. Pay $20 to $22 per hour Hours 8:00 am 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday) Full-time, 42.5 hours per week Benefits Holiday and vacation pay Extended health benefits Boot allowance Duties / Responsibilities Assist mechanics with repair and maintenance of trailers Perform tire changes, greasing, and other assigned maintenance tasks Sweep out and clear trailers as required (including shoveling when needed) Conduct yard checks and basic inspections Install license plates Perform general shop duties and cleanup Experience / Requirements Mechanical aptitude and interest in the trade Previous shop or mechanical experience is an asset, but not required Ability to use basic hand and air tools This is a physical job involving lifting, bending, crouching, and working in various positions; applicants should be physically capable of performing these duties A willingness to work outside, occasionally in inclement weather Must be reliable, willing to learn, and able to work as part of a team Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance Work Location: In person
