Job Overview: The Accounting Clerk provides daily accounting and administrative support to Cross Country Manufacturing. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accountings payable and cash flow activities, and assisting with month-end processes. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of general accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities: Post and reconcile company and customer payments to the general ledger. Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments and apply corrections to billing records as required. Verify the accuracy of all Accounts Payable invoices entered by the Office Administrator. Prepare cheques and set up outgoing payments, including EFT, ACH, wire transfers, bill payments, and cheques. Complete all bank and petty cash reconciliations. Review supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance, ensuring supplier terms are correctly maintained in QuickBooks, and complete supplier credit applications. Maintain and provide daily cash flow updates and cash flow spreadsheets. Prepare month-end journal entries. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and misapplied cash transactions. Support financial review and analysis, including identifying potential outliers in income statements. Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma required. Post-secondary education or certification in accounting or bookkeeping is considered an asset. Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience required. Proficient in QuickBooks Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and organize time efficiently Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills What We Offer: Competitive wages and benefits package.
