Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating snow removal equipment, ensuring safety, and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area. This role requires mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various tools and machinery related to landscape maintenance and construction. Responsibilities Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas Perform routine inspections of plowing equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Apply salt or de-icing materials as necessary to prevent ice formation Conduct minor maintenance on plow trucks and tools, including hand tools and power tools Assist with landscaping, gardening, irrigation, or horticulture tasks as needed during off-season periods Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge for equipment repairs or site maintenance Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during snow removal operations Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment used Experience Prior experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is preferred Knowledge of landscape maintenance, construction, or horticulture is a plus Familiarity with irrigation systems, gardening practices, or general maintenance work is advantageous Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment Previous experience in snow removal or winter maintenance is desirable but not required; training will be provided as necessary This position requires physical stamina, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work in cold weather conditions. Candidates should be prepared for early mornings or extended shifts during winter storms.
