The Bakery Clerk / Cake Decorators are responsible for preparing in-store made cakes and pastries daily. This includes attending to the needs of our customers, product quality assurance and maintaining department standards, all in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. We are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a Professional Bakery setting. This is a Part Time position: 16 24 hours / week. Open availability is required Days, Evenings and Weekends. Competitive wage based on experience. Job Description & Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service skills enjoy serving customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Adhere to all department standard operating procedures, food safety protocols, health & safety policies and general store policies. Ensure all products are properly stored and rotated to ensure freshness. Assist in receiving incoming products and inspect for freshness and quality. Ice and decorate cakes and pastries. Fill and prepare cakes for decorating. Mix icing. Prepare special orders. Keep work area clean and presentable at all times. Awareness of product changes and seasonal requirements. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and uniform. Physical Demands: Walking; standing, reaching, bending, twisting, hand dexterity, ability to carry/lift 50 lbs.
