Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECE A) Base Wage: $20/hour Location: Osoyoos Childcare Centre, Osoyoos, BC Job Type: [Full-time/Casual] Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (not including Stat Holidays). Osoyoos Child Care Centre is a warm and welcoming daycare dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. We focus on play-based learning and fostering children''s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECE A) to join our team and support the foundation of children''s learning in their early years. Job Responsibilities Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate, play-based learning activities in alignment with BC''s Early Learning Framework. Work under the guidance of certified Early Childhood Educators to maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive environment. Supervise and interact positively with children, supporting them in developing independence, social skills, and emotional regulation. Help communicate effectively and professionally with families, greeting parents and sharing positive highlights of the day. Assist in maintaining accurate developmental observations and daily reports. Ensure compliance with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations and uphold health and safety standards. Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to create a positive, team-oriented workplace. Support children with diverse learning needs as directed by the senior staff. Qualifications & Requirements Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECE A) Certificate issued by the BC ECE Registry. Clear Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check). Basic knowledge of child development principles and an interest in play-based learning strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and team members. Understanding of cultural diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous perspectives in early childhood education. Physical ability to actively engage with children (e.g., bending, lifting, sitting on the floor). Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory) Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program working towards full certification. Valid First Aid & CPR Level C Certification.
