Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Commercial Autobody Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technician with a minimum of 2 years'' experience, either on the commercial side or as an apprentice in a light automotive repair shop, who is looking to transition into the commercial autobody trade. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior technicians and team leads, gaining hands-on experience repairing and restoring commercial vehicles while continuing their apprenticeship progression. Key Responsibilities Assist in performing autobody repairs on commercial vehicles, including trucks and fleet assets Support damage assessments and reinspections under supervision Assist with repairing or replacing damaged panels, structural components, and assemblies Perform sanding, priming, and basic welding tasks as skill level permits Safely operate shop tools and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow company repair procedures and safety standards Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience, either: In commercial autobody repair, or As an apprentice in a light automotive autobody or collision repair shop Apprenticeship: Registered apprentice or willing to register as a Commercial Autobody Technician apprentice Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of autobody repair processes and shop tools Attention to Detail: Willingness to learn and produce quality workmanship Team-Oriented: Ability to take direction and work collaboratively Problem-Solving: Strong interest in developing diagnostic and repair skills Tools: Must have a basic set of personal tools (additional tools provided as training progresses) Safety Awareness: Understanding of shop safety practices What We Offer Competitive apprentice wage, based on experience and skill level Comprehensive benefits package Structured training and mentorship from experienced commercial technicians Opportunities to advance through apprenticeship levels into a full Commercial Autobody Technician role Stable, supportive, and professional work environment Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Experience: Autobody: 4 years (required) Work Location: In person
