Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our NEW dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as proficiency in dental software. The Dental Assistant will ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive experience for both patients and staff. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes if required Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality patient care in various specialties including pediatrics and orthodontics. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Proficiency in using dental software Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are required.
