The Opportunity The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth across key Canadian retail accounts, leading the sales team, and strengthening relationships with major national and regional retailers. This role requires deep knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver results in a distribution environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement sales strategies, set sales targets, create forecasts, and identify market opportunities. Drive annual sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, and annual joint business plans Manage and develop a high-performing sales team (instore and eCommerce) Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer data to inform strategy Represent the company at key customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience in consumer products Mandatory experience working directly with major Canadian retailers Proven success within a consumer product distributor or brand environment Strong understanding of Canadian retail structures, trade spend, and category management Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage accounts, and drive profitable growth Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills Preferred Qualifications Experience across multiple retail channels (grocery, mass, eCommerce, specialty) Background in outdoor products, household, or general consumer goods Experience scaling brands nationally within Canada What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus Benefits package Opportunity to shape and lead the sales function of a growing organization Collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company events Dental care Extended health care Flexible schedule Life insurance On-site parking Store discount Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: Vaughan, ON L4K 4V4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): Do you have several years of experience dealing directly with major Canadian retail chains in a consumer product and brand environment?
