Job Summary We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial consultation to service completion. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing accurate estimates using auto estimating tools Write detailed service orders and communicate effectively with technicians regarding required repairs Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, and transmission services Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining quality standards Handle customer inquiries regarding vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair timelines Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business Maintain detailed records of service history and customer interactions in the dealership management system Experience Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, and auto body repair Experience in auto estimating and service writing is advantageous Proven ability in upselling automotive services while maintaining excellent customer service standards Familiarity with mechanic work or technician experience is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly to customers Background in automotive sales or automobile sales is beneficial but not mandatory Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $33,689.40-$75,103.63 per year Work Location: In person
