Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals. Assist with troubleshooting issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical circuits, and mechanical equipment. Conduct welding repairs and perform basic residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics. Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults and ensure proper functioning of systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Support facilities maintenance projects by supervising or assisting with installation, repairs, or upgrades under guidance. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Experience Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related manufacturing environment is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and mechanical components. Hands-on experience with welding techniques and residential painting is a plus. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Strong supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance teams is advantageous. Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
