About the Role We are looking for a Parts Manager to join Ocean Trailer, reporting to the Branch Manager, and managing a team of Parts and Warehouse personnel. This is a fulltime permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, in our Calgary, Alberta Branch. The Parts Manager oversees the Parts Department''s operations, with a focus on inventory management, customer service, and team supervision. The Parts Manager will also participate in all areas of inventory control, through purchasing, purchase orders and work orders. The primary duties of the role are as follows: Primary Duties Keeping the Branch Manager apprised of all activities regarding parts sales and inventory levels Overseeing and directing Parts and Warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations Mentoring, coaching and supporting team members in their daily tasks and activities Visiting customers on a regular basis to develop and maintain a professional relationship and ensuring customer satisfaction, as well as ensuring customers'' parts inventory levels are at adequate levels for their needs Visiting potential new customers to introduce Ocean Trailer and its parts department to them, with the goal to secure business Ensuring that any customers who have been working with the Parts Department that require more assistance than the Parts personnel can offer them, are redirected to Sales or Rentals in a professional manner with the best interest of the customers in mind Directing Shipper/Receivers as necessary, to include but not limited to, shipping and/or receiving deliveries at the Branch, and making deliveries to customers Attending to communications related to parts sales to customers, ensuring that invoices for parts sales are prepared or completed as required, and in an accurate and timely manner Ensuring the team is answering customer requests and filling orders over the telephone and in person as required Ensuring the team is generating quotes and purchase order as required to satisfy customer needs and following internal paper flow Ensuring the shop team or any other department is assisted in a timely manner when requiring parts to complete their tasks Communicating with suppliers on price, quality, service and warranty parts issues Other related duties that may be assigned by the Branch Manager from time-to-time. About You Grade 12 completion or equivalent Post Secondary education in Parts and Inventory Control an asset Valid Driver''s License required Experience using a Forklift an asset 3 5 years of previous work experience in a Parts Department in a related industry 1 3 years of previous supervisory experience in a related industry an asset Working knowledge of Excel and Word in a multi-user Windows environment and knowledge of NetSuite or other related software Ability to be courteous and professional with customers, suppliers and co-workers, while establishing and maintaining solid relationships Ability to ensure timeliness and accuracy of preparation of document, demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills Works well under pressure Ability to make informed decisions and/or suggestions to improve and find efficiencies Perks and Benefits Competitive salary, based on experience in a related industry Comprehensive benefits dental, extended medical, vision care, Life, AD&D, and LTD Insurance and an employee assistance program Health & Fitness Allowance Profit sharing RRSP program Service and Safety recognition programs Bi-weekly company lunches We thank all applicants for their interest in working at Ocean Trailer, however, only individuals selected for interviews will be contacted.
