Head Chef Cutwater Brewing, Lake Country Cutwater is a lakeside brewery and restaurant built around great beer, honest food, and a relaxed but disciplined hospitality culture. This Role Is for You If You''re deeply passionate about food and ingredients You''re highly organized and systems-minded You enjoy building structure and rhythm in a kitchen You love training, mentoring, and developing cooks You''re curious about using beer thoughtfully in food, sauces, brines, reductions, and features You care about consistency, waste control, and execution You value a kitchen that feels focused, prepared, and professional You''d happily share a beer with your team after a strong service What You''ll Be Responsible For Menu development, execution, and ongoing refinement Collaborating with the brewery to align food and beer offerings Developing creative, seasonally appropriate ways to integrate beer into the menu Designing prep routines that are efficient, repeatable, and sustainable Leading kitchen hiring, onboarding, and training Creating and maintaining recipes, prep charts, and order guides Managing food costs, portion control, and waste Overseeing supplier relationships and accurate ordering Maintaining equipment, storage, cleanliness, and food safety standards Scheduling and labor planning that supports performance and morale Working closely with the GM to align kitchen flow and service standards What You''ll Own Kitchen culture, standards, and accountability Food quality, consistency, and speed of execution Training systems and team development Prep productivity, waste control, and cost discipline Organization of coolers, storage areas, and receiving The culinary voice that complements Cutwater''s beer program Experience We''re Looking For Senior kitchen leadership experience required Proven ability to build and retain strong kitchen teams Strong organizational and operational skills Experience with menu costing, ordering, and waste management Interest or experience working alongside a brewery is a strong asset Why Cutwater Cutwater values leadership, clarity, and pride in the craft.
