JOB SUMMARY Hestia is looking for a Skilled Laborer who is dedicated and hardworking and will report to our Site Superintendent at our Aspen Project. The ideal candidate will posses a strong set of technical skills, be detail-oriented and contribute to the successful completion of the construction project. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks in this hands-on position which requires physical strength and the ability to work safely, while having respect for other team members and other trades working on-site. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Execute skilled tasks related power tools and saws Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics and project specifications Operate a variety of hand tools and other construction equipment Comply with Hestia Safety programs and relevant safety legislation, ensure a safe working environment Collaborate with other team members in various construction activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met Maintain cleanliness and organization on-site Troubleshoot and problem-solve as issues arise during the construction projects Other duties may be assigned Follow and adhere to all other company policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS 2 - 5 years prior experience as a skilled construction laborer, or currently working as a carpenter apprentice towards a Red Seal Understanding of construction processes, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation Experience and/or ticket operating zoom boom First Aid certification is an asset Strong ability to communicate with an attention to detail and precision in work Commitment to safety standards and guidelines Maintain a current class 5 driver''s license and clean drivers abstract You will be required to provide your own PPE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 55 lbs. maximum Physical stamina to frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
