Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for preschool aged children. This role requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children, including those with challenges. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Foster a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment Observe and assess children''s progress, providing feedback to parents and team members Support children with challenges through tailored activities and accommodations Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other relevant documentation Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and ensure curriculum consistency Communicate effectively with parents Guide behavior using positive reinforcement techniques Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and requirements of the CCEYA Qualifications Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices Strong communication skills Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for child development and education Diploma in Early Childhood Education Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) in good standing Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Contract length: 8 months Pay: $24.98-$26.98 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Casual dress Company pension Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Work Location: In person
