Centre of Hope Maintenance Job Description, Duties and Responsibilities Hours of Operation: Monday Friday -7:00am-3:00pm (Winter) (Start: ) 8:00am-4:00pm (Summer) General Duties / Responsibilities: _ Include but is not limited to:_ All maintenance concerns within COH: Main, Admin and Captains locations Be an active member of the OH&S COH committee. Follow outlined weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly checklist for ongoing scheduled building maintenance needs. Report completion in weekly meetings upon completion. Respond to Work orders submitted. Respond to any emergent issues in the locations. In case of emergency on off work hours Maintenance may be contacted for information. Organizing, arranging, and assisting with all outward calls of service for the building i.e., Fire Pro, HVAC, plumbing etc. This will be the sole responsibility of the maintenance position. General repairs and upkeep of the building may include painting, dry wall repair, furniture building / repair, moving items, plumbing, installation and repair of appliances, pickup and delivery of appliances and other items, dump runs, repair of ceiling tiles, etc. Responsible in ensuring they purchase and provide receipts for all necessary and required items related to repairs and maintenance. For any/all questions related to the work order please contact the staff who submitted. Purchasing of items, scheduling of repairs, time sheets, time off requests and any inquiries regarding work-related matters will be approved by Drop-In Team Lead The maintenance staff is required to meet with the direct supervisor on the scheduled day to discuss any purchasing needs, maintenance issues, questions or concerns. The maintenance staff must advise the staff who submitted work orders and direct supervisor on completion of projects by email. Seasonal Duties: Summer Months (April-October): Daily cleaning of the main building parking lot i.e., disposal of all garbage items on the ground, picking up of any leftover items from patrons, checking all areas of the property for garbage, lawn maintenance, pressuring washing etc. Winter Months (November March): Arrive at the COH Main and Admin locations prior to all other staff and ensure the entrances and walkways are cleared of snow with salt/sand put down Please submit resumes to the following email Rosie Keating Executive Director We thank all those that apply however only successful candidates will be contacted for an interview.
