Responsibilities Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, Robots, Vision Systems, and other control devices Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve issues Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement Collaborate with cross functional teams, including production, engineering and quality to implement process changes and ensure seamless integration Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, troubleshoot issues and make data driven decisions to optimize manufacturing processes Lead root cause analysis investigations to address process deviations, quality issues and equipment failures Day to day troubleshooting of equipment or production process complaints and concerns Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on automation systems and equipment Assist in training junior automation technicians Qualifications A post-secondary Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years'' experience with automated equipment PLC, HMI, & Servo programming experience with Allen-Bradley hardware Robot programming (ABB, Fanuc) Vision programming (Cognex & Keyence) Knowledge of industrial networks Strong programming, mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
